Sa. Simanova et al., PLATINUM(II)-COMPLEX FORMATION DURING SORPTION BY POLYACRYLONITRILE-BASED SORBENTS CONTAINING NITROGEN AND SULFUR, Journal of applied chemistry of the USSR, 65(9), 1992, pp. 1615-1621
A study has been made of the sorption properties of fibrous sorbents o
f the Thiopan type, copolymers of polyacrylonitrile and grafted polygl
ycidylmethacrylate containing diethyldithiocarbamate, thiol, and 8-mer
captoquinoline groups, with respect to K2[PtCl4]. The capacities and d
ynamic characteristics of the sorbents have been determined in hydroch
loric acid and chloride solutions. A mechanism for Pt(II)-complex form
ation has been established with the fibers as polymeric ligands.
