Welds of the austenitic steel C.4580 (W. Nr. 1.4301) were prepared usi
ng TIG and plasma techniques with various heat input values. The tensi
le strength, hardness, microstructure and the delta-ferrite content as
well as general, intergranular and pitting corrosion resistance were
tested. Experimental results show a correlation between welding condit
ions and material property changes.
