Abstract
Barley mild mosaic virus (BaMMV) has been purified by a new procedure and some molecular characteristics of the RNA studied. Results summari zed in this paper suggest that, although BaMMV and barley yellow mosai c virus are different viruses, they share many features in common. BaM MV should, therefore, be classified in the baymovirus group of the Pot yviridae.
