Abstract
This paper reports the results of energy analysis of oil- and coal-fir ed systems in a sodium silicate industry, in a mechanized bakery and i n silk filatures. In all, seven systems (three oil-fired and four coal -fired units) were evaluated and energy conservation measures were sug gested. It is shown that in most cases, the fuel consumption can be re duced by over half. The recommendations for fuel savings and mathemati cal simulations are valid for similar systems elsewhere.
