Square wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry (SWAdSV) of nickel and co
balt at wall-jet electrodes in a continuous flow system has been evalu
ated. Characteristics and advantages relative to differential pulse ad
sorptive stripping voltammetry (DPAdSV) in continuous how systems are
explored. Under optimized experimental conditions, sensitivity is appr
oximately a factor of ten higher than DPAdSV, and one nanomolar detect
ion limits are achieved. Solution deoxygenation is unnecessary and sam
ple throughput is increased.
