Abstract
The semen of tigerfish Hydrocynus vittatus was white, the mean sperm c ount was 11,9 +/- 4,81 x 10(6)/mm3 and total motility lasted 86 +/- 24 seconds. The mean seminal pH and osmolality values were 8,3 +/- 0,23 and 277,50 +/- 41,64 m Osmol/kg, respectively, and mean seminal electr olyte values were Na+ = 100,50 +/- 18,52; K+ = 30,11 +/- 7,09; Ca2+ = 0.66 +/- 0,29; Mg2+ = 0,96 +/- 0,29; Cl- = 123,80 +/- 20,47 mmol/l.
