Abstract
The absorbed doses in the reference points of the rectum and bladder d efined by ICRU report 38 for reporting intracavitary radiotherapy were compared with the calculated maximum doses of these organs. The calcu lations were validated by a thermoluminescent probe. A good correlatio n between the doses at the reference points and the calculated maximum doses was found.
