Abstract
The value of hepatic arterial chemotherapy and portal vein chemotherap y (PVC) for inoperable liver metastases is supported by several prospe ctive randomized studies, with response rates of 40-60 per cent and a significant survival advantage for patients(1-3). The role of PVC in p atients with advanced colorectal liver metastases when other treatment modalities have failed has not been determined previously.
