Abstract
An Fe laser oscillation has been obtained on three lines in the ultrav iolet region; 299.951, 303.164 and 304.043 nm. Fe vapor is generated f rom an Fe metal plate by irradiation of a pulsed YAG laser, and the Fe vapor is optically pumped by a KrF laser. The Fe laser pulse has a du ration of 16 ns and peak power of 20.5 W.
