Abstract
It has been noted that Planck-scale physics may induce the explicit br eaking of global symmetries. We point out that in models with a global lepton number symmetry, these explicit breakings, combined with sphal eron induced violation of B + L can give rise to the baryon asymmetry of the Universe.
