Abstract
In this paper, we explore the relation between small cofinite irreduci bles and cyclic submodules in the dual. As an application, we show tha t an Artinian module over a Noetherian local ring is the finite sum of submodules C-i, each of which has the property that every finitely ge nerated submodule is contained in a cycle submodule.
