ENZYMES ASSOCIATED WITH GLYCOSYLATION

Recent advances in the enzymology and molecular biology of glycosyltra nsferases - enzymes that catalyze the individual sugar attachment step s in the process of protein and lipid glycosylation - have begun to yi eld insights into how the expression of these enzymes is regulated. Th ese results also provide us with an integrated view of the enzymatic a nd molecular relationships of several glycosyltransferases and identif y a number of novel glycosylation pathways.
