MODERN COLLECTIVE GUILT THEORY AS ROOTED IN THE ENGLISH-REVOLUTION

This paper argues that the idea of collective guilt can be used to mob ilize public action and its use by Puritans in England during the its century contributed directly to the English Civil War. It emphasises t hat each person is responsible for the guilt of others and is therefor e involved and implicated.
