B. Singh et al., DISSIPATION OF ENDOSULFAN ON CAULIFLOWER (BRASSICA-OLERACEA VAR BOTRYTIS-SUBVAR-CAULIFLORA), Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 63(10), 1993, pp. 668-671
An experiment was conducted during winter season 1989-90 to study diss
ipation of endosulfan residues on cauliflower (Brassica oleracea L. va
r botrytis L subvar cauliflora DC.), following iu application @ 500 an
d 1 000 g ai/ba. The residues of endosulfan were estimated in the head
and leaf samples collected at various intervals by gas-liquid chromat
ograph. The maximum deposits on heads and leaves were 4.76 and 3.46 mg
/kg at 500 g ai/ha and 8.65 and 6.38 mg/kg at 1 000 g ai/ha. At 500 g
ai/ha its residues decrease below the maximum residue limit of 2 mg/kg
in 3 days. Hence endosulfan @ 500 g ai/ha may safely be used after ob
serving this waiting period.
