BINDING-ENERGY OF THE C-12 NUCLEUS AS A 3-BODY PROBLEM

The structure of the C-12 nucleus is considered as a bound three alpha particles according to the alpha cluster model. The bound state probl em of the considered nucleus is solved using Faddeev equations and dif ferent separable potentials. The calculated binding energies of the C- 12 nucleus for the different used separable potentials are in good agr eement with the experimental value.
