Abstract
Under a synoptic viewpoint end-fire array concepts are presented by us ing Chebyshev and Legendre polynomials.The arrays are designed by diff erent combinations of their coefficients. Directivity and half power b eamwidth (HPBW) versus the array spacing as well as versus the side lo be level are given. Finally several examples for the Chebyshev and Leg endre arrays and arrays based on products of Chebyshev as well as Lege ndre polynomials are presented.
