Rk. Harris et al., RESIDUAL DIPOLAR SPLITTINGS IN C-13-MAS NMR ARISING FROM INTERACTIONSWITH CHLORINE NUCLEI, Magnetic resonance in chemistry, 31(10), 1993, pp. 963-965
Residual dipolar splittings in C-13 cross-polarization magic-angle spi
nning spectra arising from coupling to chlorine nuclei are reported fo
r the three chloroacetanilide isomers, using several spectrometers. At
medium to high magnetic field doublets are seen for C-Cl carbon reson
ances. Perturbation theory explains the appearance of the spectra qual
itatively but is inadequate quantitatively.
