Abstract
The diploid number of chromosomes in Cyclops kolensis Lill. has been d etermined, its karyotype is described. Cytogenetic characteristics of the Cyclops strenuus Fischer population which differ from the previous ly known ones have been obtained: 2n = 24; chromatine diminution in pr esomatic germ cells during the 5th and 6th cleavages; accumulation of eliminating chromatine in the equatorial plate region.
