Abstract
Gas flow, temperature distribution, post-combustion ratio and heat tra nsfer efficiency in a 5-ton scale furnace have been calculated using a mathematical model. Calculation results of post-combustion ratio acco rding to coal species have good correspondence with experiments. Using this model, material and heat balance for various conditions could be evaluated.
