Abstract
The NMR peak of Co-59(III) cationic complexes shifts upfield upon inte racting with anions when the interaction is mainly electrostatic; it s hifts downfield when the hydrophobic interaction acts additively with the electrostatic interaction. These trends are enhanced in micellar s olution systems.
