S. Sawamura et al., EFFECT OF PRESSURE ON THE SOLUBILITY OF SODIUM-BROMIDE IN WATER, Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 66(8), 1993, pp. 2406-2408
The solubility (m(s)) of sodium bromide (NaBr.2H2O) in water was measu
red at 283.15-313.15 K and 0.1-300 MPa. The m(s) decreases with increa
sing pressure and the coefficient, theta (=(partial derivative m(s)/pa
rtial derivative p)T/m(s)), is -10 x 10(-5) MPa-1 at 298.15 K and 0.1
MPa. This sign of theta is opposite to that (7 x 10(-5) MPa-1) calcula
ted using a thermodynamic equation.
