R. Guillot, FROM EXPERIMENTATION ON ANIMALS TO IN-VIT RO METHODS .1. CELL-CULTURES - LIMITS, ADVANTAGES, PROSPECTS, Revue de Medecine Veterinaire, 144(8-9), 1993, pp. 655-658
In vitro methods appeared at the turn of century and are by now extens
ively used in fundamental and applied research. The reasons of this de
velopment are bound to ethics (protection of laboratory animals) and t
o techniques. These methods, especially cell cultures, have limits to
be well known, as well as unquestionable advantages. Their value and s
cientific interest bear out their preferential use in an experimental
protocol.
