Abstract
The following aspects of Helicobacter pylori infection are summarized: the the epidemiology of H pylori infection, data on the prevalence of the organism in Canada, methods of diagnosis, and evidence for an ass ociation between H pylori and gastritis, duodenal ulcers, nonulcer dys pepsia and gastric cancer.
