Abstract
The synthesis of all stereoisomeric 25,26-epoxy-1alpha,24-dihydroxyvit amin D3 analogues is described and relies on the Sharpless kinetic res olution of secondary alcohols. It further includes the Julia procedure for side chain construction and the Lythgoe A-ring coupling procedure . Biological evaluation includes the study of calcemic effect, recepto r binding and cell differentiation.
