Abstract
The author calls attention to the << new pets >> phenomenon and to the
growing importance of the cage bird population in France. He describe
s, in a systemic approach, the semiological methods that may be applie
d with or without restraint to these animals, and briefly reviews the
instruments that may serve as complement.
