A case of Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae endocarditis in a 43 years-old
butcher is reported. It was an infectious endocarditis on a normal hea
rt, which brought an insufficiency of the aortic valve, an abcess of t
he septum, and an atrioventricular fistula. Good therapeutical results
were obtained under fluoroquinlone plus beta-lactam treatment, and va
lve replacement.
