[Ru(NO)2(PPh3)2] has been synthsized by three convenient methods. Its
reactivity has been studied with HX (X = Cl, Br or I) and with neutral
mono- and bidentate nitrogen ligands. The products obtained have the
compositions [RuX3(NO)(PPh3)2] (X = Cl, Br, or I) and [Ru(NO)(NO2)(OH)
2L] (L = py, bipy or phen), respectively.
