Abstract
The mean activity coefficients of LiCl in LiCl-Li2SO4-H2O system were determined st 25-degrees-C in the total ionic strength range from 0.01 to 6.0 mol.kg-1. The measurements were made using an electrochemical cell with a lithium ion-selective electrode against an Ag-AgCl electro de. The experimental mean activity coefficients of LiCl (ln gamma+/-Li Cl) ObeY Harned's rule and Pitzer's equation very well and agree with the results obtained by isopiestic method with RMSD 0.0097. The mean a ctivity coefficients of Li2SO4, the osmotic coefficients and excess fr ee energies of mixing were also calculated.
