Abstract
This article, which reports the results of a recent survey, assesses t he Scheme's role, value, strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and opport unities at a time when the New Zealand government is embracing the ele ctronic provision of government information, and many departments do n ot provide their publications to the 21 public libraries participating in the Scheme.
