Abstract
NMR and mass spectroscopic methods have been used for the structure el ucidation of two new Annonaceous acetogenin precursor compounds, epoxy murins A and B, isolated from the hexane extract of the stem bark of A nnona muricata, together with diepomuricanin and solamin. Epoxymurins A and B provide an important missing link in the proposed biogenetic p athway for acetogenins containing one tetrahydrofuran ring.
