Abstract
Classification of varieties for resistance based on yield loss experim ents usually focuses on percentage yield loss comparisons with minor r eferences to the actual potential yield. In this paper a method of cla ssification based on joint consideration of the percentage yield loss and actual yield potential of the varieties is presented. The method s eeks to minimize percentage yield loss while maximizing yield potentia l.
