Abstract
The new cubic compound Na8TiAs4, a = 13 76.7(1) pm, space group Fd3mBA R, is isostructural to Na8SnSb4 [1]. The structure is characterized by ideal isolated TiAs, tetrahedra. The compound is in agreement with th e Zintl concept.
