Abstract
The authors report the case of a 19-year-old patient with an infectiou s mononucleosis, causing, 2 days after the onset of symptoms, a sponta neous splenic rupture. Acetyl salicylic acid had been given at the beg inning of symptoms including fever and a pharyngitis. The diagnosis wa s obtained by laparoscopy after failure of sonographic. The patient wa s discharged 10 days after splenectomy.
