Hydrogen's purification of methane has been investigated for applicati
on to fuel clean-up. After describing the experimental means, results
are given as a function of main operational parameters before establis
hing a process model and its validation. Then a conception of a DT pur
ification prototype is proposed as an application. Globally, the resul
ts show that high purification efficiencies can be performed insofar a
s the uranium bed temperature is sufficiently high (> 800-degrees-C) f
or obtaining acceptable reactional kinetics between methane and uraniu
m. Finally several potential applications to a Fusion Tritium Plant ar
e envisaged.
