Abstract
A simplified theory for describing the maximum available output power versus oscillation frequency and calculated dc series resistance of re sonant tunneling devices is presented. The method uses an approximatio n of the measured dc current versus voltage characteristic. Results ca n easily be used for comparisons of measured and calculated maximum ou tput power for a particular device at different oscillation frequencie s. (C) 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
