Abstract
A longitudinal radiating slot cut in a broad wall of a dielectric fill ed rectangular waveguide is analyzed rigorously. Pertinent coupled int egral equations for the aperture electric field of a thick wall slot a re solved by the method of moments. Numerical results are presented fo r the slot characteristics over a range of permittivity values of the dielectric. Shunt admittance representation is found to be poor for hi gher values of the dielectric permittivity. (C) 1993 John Wiley & Sons . Inc.
