Abstract
The thermal stability of poly(alkyl-4,4'-diphenoxy terephthalate)s has been studied under isothermal and dynamic conditions. Fourier-transfo rm infrared spectroscopy has been used to analyze the degradation prod ucts at various degrees of conversion. Mechanisms for the degradation have been considered from the changes in the vibrational spectra.
