The frequency of dominant lethal mutations (DLM) in germ cells and the
frequency of reciprocal translocations (RT) in spermatogonia of male
mice exposed to H-labeled amino acids at the dose of 1.45-2.30 Gy was
studied. The effect from H-glycine was equal to that from tritium oxid
e (THO). When D,L-lysine-H-3 and L-lysine-H-3 were injected into the b
ody of mice the frequency of DLM exceeded that from the equal dose of
THO by 2.5 and 7 times, respectively. As to RT, these indexes for H-am
ino acids have no statistically significant differences from the simil
ar index for THO.
