Wm. Cheng et My. Chen, TRANSFORMATION AND CONNECTION OF SUBAPERTURES IN THE MULTIAPERTURE OVERLAP-SCANNING TECHNIQUE FOR LARGE OPTICS TESTS, Optical engineering, 32(8), 1993, pp. 1947-1950
The multiaperture overlap-scanning technique (MAOST) is a new method f
or large optics testing. We describe the mathematical model and the pe
rformance procedure of the transformation and connection of subapertur
es for MAOST. Computer simulation results show that the theoretical ac
curacy of a pair of two-subaperture connections tested with MAOST coul
d be reached up to lambda/600. The experimental test with a magnificat
ion ratio of 1.7 in a four-aperture overlap-scanning configuration is
conducted and its result is analyzed in detail.
