Recent taxonomic entries, mostly published between 1989 and 1992, are listed here in the alphabetical order of the generic and specific name s. This ''Supplement'' does not contain itself any new taxonomic entry . The general purpose of the ''Catalogue'' is kept unchanged, that is: to provide a first-aid index that should help to update the first (an d last) world monograph by Schiller (1931-1937). This ''Catalogue'' is not a critical one in the sense that no consideration is paid to the subjective significance of the morphological or biological features of the protists considered. However, the taxonomic status of the names a s regards the rules of botanical nomenclature is mentioned where faili ngs occur. The need to recast this Catalogue under an improved present ation and possibly enlarged scope is emphasized.
