Abstract
Using fullerenes C60 and C70 as photosensitizers, time-resolved measur ements of phthalocyanine luminescence sensitized by singlet oxygen dim ols have been carried out in hexafluorobenzene, benzene-d6, and methyl ene chloride. The data suggest that dimol-sensitized luminescence can be observed under many different conditions. Fullerenes photosensitize formation of both monomols and dimols of singlet oxygen in solution.
