Abstract
SPECT findings in a very rare case of primary amyloidosis localized in the laryngotracheobronchial area are reported. SPECT using Tc-99m PYP revealed widespread uptake in the larynx and the entire tracheobronch ial tree up to the subsegmental divisions; the areas corresponded to d iffuse thickening and calcification of the walls on CT. SPECT using Ga -67 citrate also showed marked uptake in the same area, consistent wit h the findings shown by SPECT using Tc-99m PYP.
