Abstract
The paper contains a description of the numerical simulation of remote sensing of the Earth's atmosphere using a system of synchronously orb iting satellites based upon methods of refractional tomography. Materi als of the Global Atmospheric Research Program were used for the simul ations. It was shown that a system of 8 or 12 satellites linked to eac h other with communication lines passing through the atmosphere potent ially allows reconstruction of the pressure field with sufficient prec ision for meteorology.
