A piezoelectric crystal immunosensor for the detection of bovine haemo
globin has been developed. The immobilizing process was monitored by d
etermining the frequency shift of a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM).
Bovine haemoglobin concentrations in the range of 0.001 to 0.1 mg/ml
could be detected by the system. The influence of the liquid depth on
the frequency of QCM was discussed. The interference of bovine serum a
lbumin was also studied.
