INTERNATIONAL INTERCOMPARISON OF 1 MV IN COAXIAL LINE AT 30 MHZ UNDERBIPM UMBRELLA

The results of international intercomparison of 1 mV in coaxial line a t 30 MHz organised by the Radio Frequency Working group of the ''Comit e' consultatif d'Electncite'' of the ''Bureau International de Poids e t Measures (BIPM)'' are reported in this paper. Seven Standards Labora tories of the world participated in this comparison. PTB, Germany acte d as the Pilot Laboratory. Two micropotentiometers with a nominal volt age of 1 mV were supplied by the Pilot Laboratory. Their relative rf-d c transfer error was measured at 30 MHz by the participating laborator ies. This paper analyses the results obained by NPL, India and the Pil ot Laboratory PTB, Germany. The mean rf-dc transfer error computed for the two laboratories is found to be well within the uncertainty limit s of our measurement. This establishes the traceability of our measure ments to international standards.
