Abstract
A finite difference method is presented to solve the 3D Navier-Stokes equations in velocity-vorticity form. Several systems of equations in velocity-vorticity form have been discussed. Applications of the metho d for flows around both a cube and a sphere are realized. The comparis ons between the results of the present formulation and those of the ve locity-pressure formulation or the experimental data show that the pre sent method is consistent.
