Sa. Omar et al., EFFECTS OF AN ORGANOPHOSPHORUS INSECTICIDE ON THE GROWTH AND CELLULOLYTIC ACTIVITY OF FUNGI, International biodeterioration & biodegradation, 31(4), 1993, pp. 305-310
The organophosphorus insecticide Selecron [O-(4-bromo-2-chlorophenyl)
O-ethyl S-n-propyl-phosphorothioate] at 10 and 50 ppm significantly de
creased respiration, mycelial protein, extracellular protein and mycel
ial dry weight of Aspergillus fumigatus, A. terreus and Myceliophthora
thermophila when grown at 45-degrees-C. C(x) and C1 cellulases of tes
ted fungi were significantly decreased. However, C1 cellulase of A. fu
migatus was slightly increased.
