Abstract
A new technique for intra-articular injection of a corticosteroid in t he temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is presented. The corticosteroid is m ixed with contrast medium and the administration visualized and contro lled using fluoroscopy. When superior and inferior joint spaces have b een filled and the soft tissues of the joint have been identified in t he fluoroscopic image, additional corticosteroid can be administered t o selected sites within the TMJ.
