Abstract
Businesses are critical of frequent-flier programs because of their pe rceived impact on travel costs. Corporate travel managers say the prog rams waste billions of dollars annually. Further, they are frustrated by their inabilities to retrieve frequent-flier benefits for their com panies. This article investigates whether the level of concern, the na ture of the problems, and the company responses vary with company size . In general, opinions about frequent-flier programs and their impacts on travel costs are basically the same for large and small companies.
