Abstract
The kinetic study of the curing reaction of epoxide catalyzed by terti ary amine was carried out through thermal analysis of the reaction by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Using infrared spectroscopy ( IR) and neutron magnetic reasonance (NMR) analysis, a reaction mechani sm for this reaction was proposed. The reaction proceeded to anionic p olymerization. An autocatalytic reaction was induced at high concentra tion of the tertiary amine catalyst. (C) 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
